Born from a round that mattered more than the score
In my experience, some of the most meaningful moments in a person's life can happen on a golf course. It strips you back. The game teaches you patience, humility, how to lose well — sometimes all in the same hole. The Clubhouse Edit was born from one of those moments. I am Tom, and this is my story.
My grandad, Sid, took me for my first round of golf when I was young. I remember getting ready that morning — wanting to impress him, wanting to be good enough, but ultimately just wanting to be in his company. The game he passed down to me wasn't just a sport — it was a lifestyle. A lesson in patience, presence, and how to carry yourself between the tees.
I remember our last round together too. At 14 years old, I knew I could beat him — I had the skills. But emotionally I wasn't ready. So I let him win. He passed away a few weeks later, and I'm glad I have that memory of him.
My grandad was always immaculately turned out for every round he ever played. He always said the round starts in the wardrobe. I never forgot it. That story lives at the heart of everything I am building.
